I
would draft
Peyton Manning in round
1 because Because he always puts up consistent numbers.
tawanda
I
would draft
Peyton Manning in round
1-12 because i would draft peyton manning.
haime99
I
would draft
Danny Amendola in round
12 because He is a PPR monster and could explode in any week.
JayD
I
would draft
Ryan Mathews in round
3 because if he falls to you in the 3rd round you still get top 5 RB potential with not as much invested. Even if he misses first game the risk is still worth the reward IMO
movinthechains
I
would draft
Julio Jones in round
3 because the guy just looks unstoppable. One quarter of play in the pre season he blows past the secondary for 10 catches, over 100 yards and a touchdown. He's arguably had the best pre season of any wide receiver, and this year looks like Matt Ryan's favorite target's changed.
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would draft
Randy Moss in round
9-12 because He seems to have grown up and knows his role. He will eventually get on the same page as Smith and become an important part of that offense. Moss should be good for 50 recs / 700 yards / 6 TDs.
KeithyP
I
would not draft
Matt Forte in round
1 or 2 because Who knows how he will bounce back from a torn ACL and how much Michael Bush is going to cut into his touches
Koopafantasy
I
would not draft
Miles Austin in round
4 or 5 because 2009 was along time ago. He has been unable to reproduce those stats and don't see him doing it this year with the team putting so much focus on Dez.
Koopafantasy
I
would not draft
Shonn Greene in round
3 because he needed LT to retire in order to get the starting role. Has disappointed before and will disappoint this year.
thefantasycurse
I
would draft
BenJarvus Green-Ellis in round
6 or 7 because Had 800 yards and 11 TDs last year and he is going to be a bigger part of the Bengals offense than he was in New England.
thefantasycurse
I
would draft
Marques Colston in round
5 or 6 because Drew Brees's favorite receiver. Over 1000 yards last season with 8 TDs, but seems to be getting overlooked for some reason.
thefantasycurse
I
would draft
Matthew Stafford in round
1 because Late first round. After the other top qbs and rbs are gone. He puts up big numbers (20-plus points) pretty consistently. That will equal wins on a weekly basis.
jason.saulter.9
I
would draft
Brandon LaFell in round
10 because This is his third year in the NFL, history tells us that WR's have their breakout season in their third season. Besides that, Steve Smith is still going to be the #1 target for Cam Newton, meaning more single coverage for Lafell.
GoProFantasySports
I
would not draft
Miles Austin in round
4-9 because your paying for 1,320 receiving yards and 11 TD’s from 12 games in 2009 and getting the guy who produced 1,620 yards and 14 TD’s in 26 games since. Seeing the recent injury news surrounding Miles Austin, I can no longer make a case for ranking him inside Top 25 at WR (in any format). Just ask Andre Johnson owners about nagging hamstring injuries.
Mr. Fantasy Guru
I
would draft
Shonn Greene in round
3 because he has two horrible QBs and a new OC that only knows how to run the ball. He will get PLENTY of touches. No real threat to vulture carries from him either.
Mr. Fantasy Guru
I
would not draft
Jake Locker in round
1-12 because until he gets a better WR core and shows us he is legit, he is a waste of roster space.
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
Darren Sproles in round
5 because he is one of the most unique players in the NFL. Listed at only 5’-6”, Sproles delivered a huge fantasy season for his owners in 2011 hauling in 77.5% of the passes tossed in his direction for a total of 86 receptions, 710 yards, and 7 TD’s (if Sproles were listed as a WR he would have ranked 5th amongst wideouts in receptions). He also carried the ball 87 times for 603 yards and 2 TD’s.
With Mark Ingram & Pierre Thomas looming in the background I am not expecting 1,300 total yards from Sproles again this season, but I do think he is capable of producing 1,000 total yards and 6 TD’s from 150+ touches.
The Saints will need to use Sproles more in their run game in order to keep opposing defenses honest and preserve the effectiveness of his 8.3 yards per reception. While others may see him only as a safety valve in the New Orleans offense, I am targeting Sproles in the 5th round as a low-end RB2 / FLEX player in non-PPR leagues. Keep in mind he was tied for 7th in red zone targets last year.
Christopher Gray
I
would draft
BenJarvus Green-Ellis in round
5-7 because He is going to get in the end zone. Guy is reliable and durable. He is a low RB2 but a high RB3 which is where you take him.
Christopher Gray
I
would not draft
Miles Austin in round
3-5 because High injury risk. Romo has other options that take away his looks. Better off drafting Bryant who has the higher upside.
Christopher Gray
I
would not draft
Greg Little in round
11 or 12 because Poor rookie year but the guy has all the physical tool. Use a late round pick to grab him. Someone has to catch the ball for the Browns.
jason.saulter.9
I
would draft
Owen Daniels in round
5 or 6 because Two words, Andre Johnson. Kevin Walter is not enough of a threat to take catches away from Johnson, so Daniels is the man. Despite having down years in 2010 and 2011, look for Daniels to step into the elite of TE's with a healthy Schaub and Johnson.
jason.saulter.9
I
would draft
Ryan Williams in round
8 or 9 because Beanie Wells always seems to have a knee issue and Larod Stephens-Howling is not a player to take 10-15 carries per game. Look for Williams to get a lot of work this season, his speed and power will compliment him well inside the red zone.
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would draft
Cedric Benson in round
7-12 because He will look just like Ryan Grant circa 2007 when the Packers had Farve under center. Rodgers garners just as much respect and this will open up the D line for Benson to bust through and make some serious yardage. Fearless prediction, 1100, 300 carries and 10TD
JayD
I
would draft
Greg Olsen in round
12 because He and Jeremy Shockey combined for 9+ targets a game last season. And with Shockey gone Olsen should be the beneficiary... If you miss out on the top 10 TE's i think Olsen has HIGH UPSIDE ... You can currently get him in the 13-15th rounds
JayD
I
would draft
Davone Bess in round
12 because In PPR leagues becasue he's currently the 68th WR off the board and he's shown us he can get 75-80 catches. He has great upside and has been having a tremendous camp.. Can't beat that in the 12th round
Christopher Gray
I
would draft
Shonn Greene in round
5-7 because Solid RB3 option. Someone will punch it in other than Tebow.
Christopher Gray
I
would draft
Antonio Brown in round
5 or 6 because This guy will be the number one offensive weapon in the Steel City.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
A.J. Green in round
2 or 3 because This guy is for real. He is a WR1 for sure.
paul.osbourn.1
I
would draft
Andre Johnson
because Avoid old Andre he's already re-injured the hammy and I am being nice. I saw him go down last year like a girl on skates. He's never going to be the same avoid him.
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would not draft
Robert Meachem in round
1-6 because He has never proven that he is a number one target and does not have the ability to fill in for the departed Jackson. He should be viewed as a 3 WR in any standard scoring league.
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
BenJarvus Green-Ellis in round
5 because history shows that the Bengals leading rusher has averaged 1,124 yards, eight touchdowns and 282 carries a season since Marvin Lewis took over as head coach in 2003. Over the last 2 years BJGE has been a red zone renegade. He’s had 11 and 13 touchdowns, respectively, with all but one coming from the red zone. Only five teams ran the ball in the red zone more than the Bengals last season. The Law Firm never fumbles and neither will you when you draft him in the 5th Round.
Boom
I
would not draft
Maurice Jones-Drew in round
1 because in 2011 he had 386 touches. There is a rule for the RB's following 370 touches the year before. Examples? Shaun Alexander, Larry Johnson, Michael Turner, Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, and now AP. I know that MJD is one a few feature backs, with more weapons, but not worth risk
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would draft
Carson Palmer in round
6-8 because He is coming into this year ready to play and has been able to make connections with his weapons on offense. DHB, Ford and McFadden are all solid play makers who can take it to the house on any given touch. Screens to McFadden will be deadly!
champstrain
I
would draft
Ryan Williams in round
8 or 9 because Looks to have turned corner in recovery and with beanie wells starting on pup. Great value if you wait on running backs with the upside of top 20 ability. Pre-Season will be ultimate test for williams. If he looks explosive he could go in 5th or 6th round
champstrain
I
would draft
Tom Brady in round
1 because One of the all time greats gets another weapon with Brandon Lloyd and with McDaniels on board the sky is the limit. If passing touchdows are rewarded heavily in your league no doubt I take Brady in first 16 picks.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Philip Rivers in round
4 or 5 because Proven top QB. Posed to have a bounce back year. AFC west is still a weak defensive division.
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
Eddie Royal in round
12 because Norv Turner has been raving about him since he arrived in SD. We saw Royal’s fantasy upside during his rookie year w/ Denver in 2008. Surprisingly he's only 26 and he is now paired up with the best QB he’s had in his NFL career.
Royal can play slot, outside, and even carry the ball. I expect the Chargers to use him like they used Sproles. SD will line him up all over the field and use his explosiveness and speed in the screen game.
If your league awards individual TD’s for special teams returns, keep your eye on Royal. He’s one of only 11 players in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt for a TD in the same game.
If you need a sleeper at WR, you can easily steal Royal with your last positional pick in the draft.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Michael Bush in round
5 or 6 because he's a hand cuff. Maybe as valuable as Ben Tate in Hou. If you are taking Forte you need to make an effort to take Bush as your 1st bench RB (RB4 or 3 if you value RB's less). Bush will be money on the goal line.
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
Matt Forte in round
2 because the biggest question surrounding the RB has been answered.
I was never worried worried about last year’s knee sprain or Michael Bush taking away a significant amount of TD’s. Forte was on pace to lead the NFL in yards from scrimmage last year and thus the Bears put up a reported $18 million guaranteed to keep him in Chicago.
Fantasy owners can bank on Forte making this his 5th straight season with 900 rushing yards & 400 receiving yards. My only knock on Matt Forte is that he hasn’t eclipsed 10 total TD’s since his rookie season in 2008.
For me, in non PPR formats, that leaves him ranked below Ryan Matthews, Beast Mode, and Run DMC.
Trevis Waters
I
would not draft
Victor Cruz in round
1 or 2 because he isn't the featured WR. Cruz came out of nowhere and finished with a highly respectable fantasy season last year. He has gain respect no doubt. With the Hakeem Nicks going in the 2nd round in drafts, look to grab Cruz in the 3rd round at the highest.
Trevis Waters
I
would draft
Jamaal Charles in round
2 because he has fully recovered from his injuries. Before he went down early into last season, he was a top 10 RB in fantasy. He also doesn't have any threat of a time share as most top RBs do.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Matt Forte in round
1 or 2 because Contract talks are becoming final. He is a top 5 RB. I would put him over Johnson, Mcfadden, Mathews, and AP. View Bush as someone who will prevent injury not as a major points vulture.
GoProFantasySports
I
would not draft
Andre Johnson in round
2 or 3 because In order to win you have to minimize risk and give yourself the best odds to win. I’m not ranking Johnson inside the Top 10 WR's because I’m not gambling on his health. He missed 9 games last year and he’s 31 years old now. There is no way he will give fantasy owners 16 weeks worth of production.
I never want to be critical of a fellow Miami Hurricane, but when it comes to fantasy sports I’m all about The W.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Darren McFadden in round
2 because He has high reward. With no M. Bush to steal his TD's it adds value. Draft a less risky RB in RD 4 or 5 to offset when he gets banged up.
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would draft
Peyton Manning in round
1-3 because Because he has a stable OL infront of him and a solid running game to keep the blitzes at a minimum. THis will allow Peyton to play his game and protect himself. With all of the Broncos weapons, he will be a steal in the draft.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Matt Forte in round
2 or 3 because Contract will get resolved, the offense ran through him. He has done nothing but perform every time he is on the field. RB2
Anonymous
I
would draft
Jamaal Charles in round
2 because You can't fear injury from last season. No problem taking him as a RB2
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
Brandon Lloyd in round
6 because he has the hands, speed, and knowledge to excel in the Patriots offensive system. If he earns Brady's trust, he will be a threat. Josh McDaniels is back at OC. Remember Randy Moss from '07? I will take my chances in Round 6.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would draft
Steven Jackson in round
3 because He is a solid RB2 proven veteran. With Bradford back, it takes all the pressure off the running game.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would not draft
Reggie Bush in round
1 or 2 because Too many questions. Will Daniel Thomas take away his job and/or TD's. Health is always a concern. I would pass and draft Thomas between rounds 7-9, who I think has better upside.
J_Pres1
I
would draft
Darren Sproles in round
1-12 because especially in PPR formats. He is a primary target of Brees and is usually available at a great value.
ChrisGrayArea
I
would not draft
Michael Turner in round
1 or 2 because Too many carries the last few years. If you can grab as flex or 3rd RB I would take him as that.
Anquan Boldin Showers
I
would draft
Dustin Keller in round
2 or 3 because he will be the next TE to get to the next level. I expect him to see 5 - 8 looks a game
GoProFantasySports
I
would not draft
Rob Gronkowski in round
2 because odds are he won't repeat last year's performance. Inside the 10 yard line Hernandez had 17 targets to Gronk's 9. AHern caught 7 for 5 TDs, Gronk caught 6 for 5 TDs.
GoProFantasySports
I
would draft
Aaron Rodgers in round
1 because I just took A.Rod with the #1 overall pick in a mock draft on Yahoo. Gronk and Graham were gone so I took Marshaw Lynch & DeMarco Murray. I'm sticking with a QB in round 1.
fantasy_intell
I
would not draft
Adrian Peterson in round
1-3 because the injury risk is too great, plus Vikings just announced they're going to bring him along slowly. Fantasy owners would be in too big of hole by Week 7 or whenever he re-ignites.
J_Pres1
I
would draft
Cam Newton in round
1-12 because he is responsible for essentially 100 percent of the offense in Carolina and should get better in his sophomore season.Especially strong in 6pt passing td leagues.
OG
I
would not draft
Laurent Robinson in round
1-12 because unlike in Dallas he had arguably one of the NFL's elite QB's Tony Romo. In Jacksonville he will have Blaine Gabbert under center. If that in itself isn't enough to turn you away maybe the 1st round draft choice of Justin Blackmon will. Don't forget MJD either!
movinthechains
I
would not draft
Peyton Manning in round
1-6 because of his obvious health concerns and questionable durability. If you're willing to take a chance on Peyton and can also get a Matt Ryan or Jay Cutler, Manning could be worth the risk and allow you to spend more valuable picks on top RBs, WRs and TE
bossman7
I
would not draft
Mike Wallace in round
1-4 because I can get Antonio Brown in rounds 6-9 who may have equal or more production than the speedster Wallace. We all know that he's holding out for a better contract, but Brown even has more every down appeal. Wallace gets 3-5 home run shots rather than chain movers.
